Bangladesh finished the Asian Games Qualifier in impressive style with a 2-0 victory over Hong Kong to complete an unbeaten tournament on the final day in Dhaka.
With the qualifying places for the Asian Games in December already decided before the day's round, the matches only served to resolve the finishing order of the teams.
In the day's other matches Oman secured second position with a two-goal win over Iran while Chinese Taipei thrashed Sri Lanka to finish their tournament in emphatic style and claim third place ahead of Hong Kong.
Bangladesh, Oman, Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong emerged from the tournament to join Pakistan, India, South Korea, Malaysia, China and Japan at the 15th Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, from 2-14 December. 2006.
