Singapore faces an almost impossible task to earn a spot at this year's Asian Games after wasting numerous scoring chances in a goalless draw with Iran in the only match on day seven at the qualifier in Dhaka.

The result leaves Singapore having to overcome undefeated home team Bangladesh in their final match and then rely on Oman and Sri Lanka slipping badly in their remaining two matches to take the fourth and final qualifying place for the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, from 2-14 December this year.
