The final countdown is on! In one year from now, all eyes will be on Nanjing, China, for the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games. And with over 3,600 athletes, 28 Olympic sports – including golf and rugby sevens both making their debut on the YOG programme – and 10 days of exciting sporting action, it promises to be one thrilling event!

To mark this countdown, OMEGA, the official Olympic Timekeeper, unveiled in Nanjing the Countdown Clock that will tick away the days, hours, minutes and seconds until the Opening Ceremony. The Nanjing Youth Olympic Games will witness the international debut of the Hockey5s, the new version of the sport which has already proven to be something of a hit. The FIH will be promoting the game worldwide in the build up to the YOG, encouraging more nations to take up this format.
