As part of his regular exchanges with hockey stakeholders, FIH President Tayyab Ikram recently had a particularly healthy and fruitful online interaction with representatives from USA Field Hockey and the wider US hockey community.
A full range of really important topics such as the growth of the sport, the global hockey calendar, the development of officiating and umpiring, the potential of hockey to contribute to positive change in society and the implementation of an athlete-centric policy were discussed.
“I thoroughly enjoyed this exchange with the USA hockey community. I would like to thank all participants for their openness as well as their invaluable insights and inputs. Once more, I’m convinced that engaging with all our stakeholders in a direct manner is greatly beneficial. Together, we’re stronger!”, President Ikram said.
